Meetings
July-5-2003 - General Meeting
- A correction was noted to the August 31,2002 minutes to reflect the comments of a long time Association member that the lawsuits the Association was engaged in would “come to no good end”. The minutes were then approved as revised.
- The treasurer’s report was received, with a copy distributed to the members.
- The safety committee reported that Park Township may help fund the installation of dry lines to the upper walk to enhance the ability to fight a fire in that area. Dave Lind offered to head up this effort.
- There was a brief update on the lawsuits filed by the Association, noting that the suit to enforce the agreement signed earlier by the State is in the court of Appeals. There was discussion regarding a motion to drop the lawsuits filed by the Association. There was no vote on the motion, as it was raised by an owner whose membership privileges were suspended pursuant to the by-laws for failure to pay dues. (The by-laws provide that “If members do not timely pay dues and assessments, the Board of Directors shall suspend all rights and privileges of membership,..”) There was not otherwise sufficient support for the motion.
- There was an update regarding the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission’s plans for the park parcels. It was noted the Commission meets the first Wednesday of every month and interested members were encouraged to attend and express their views.
- The meeting was adjourned.
